Mavs go down hard, 109-95

...DENVER -- The Mavericks never had to play from behind after winning the opener of their first-round series.

...They'll get a good look at how the other side lives against Denver.

...The Mavericks went down 1-0 with a thud in the Western Conference semifinals, getting run out of the gym in the fourth quarter as the Nuggets took Game 1 109-95 at Sunday afternoon at Pepsi Center.

...It was a miserable game for many Mavericks, most notably Jason Kidd, who had eight turnovers, the most ever in a Mavericks' playoff game that didn't go into overtime.

...The Nuggets, who now have won 14 consecutive games at home, dominated the final 12 minutes of the game, outscoring the Mavericks 27-15 down the stretch.
