Mavericks take 71-66 lead into fourth quarter against New Orleans

The Mavericks take a five-point lead into the fourth quarter after holding off New Olreans in the third quarter. The Hornets, and point guard Chris Paul, continued to build momentum after a good second quarter. Paul now has 16 points.

Dirk Nowitzki has only two points on 1-of-5 shooting so far. He'll need to get going in the fourth, and that's usually "his" quarter. We shall see. J.J. Barea only had two points in the third and now has a game-high 21.

Two big baskets for Josh Howard late in the third quarter.
