Mayor asks street be renamed for Kelleher

Mayor Tom Leppert has proposed that Southwest Airlines Co-Founder Herb Kelleher have a namesake road in Dallas.The proposal is for a portion of Cedar Springs Road at the entrance to Dallas Love Field Airport to be named Herb Kelleher Way. The name would run from Mockingbird Lane to Contrail Lane, the street just before the airport's parking garages.If the proposal is accepted by the city council, the change would be phased in over two years to allow businesses located along the roadway to...
