Mavericks sitting pretty at the half

Mavericks 52, Lakers 45 at the intermission.

And they did it without a monster half from Dirk.

The cynic would say that the Lakers have not played particularly well and that it's a crime that the Mavericks aren't further ahead.

But let's not quibble. They are playing so much better than they did in the opener that if they aren't careful, they might just start to resemble a realistic conternder.
