Scandal at the Ford Center

This is the heart of Sooner country.

So naturally was controversy when the Thunder and Nike teamed up to give away thousands of orange towels that fans were supposed to wave to show their support for the Thunder's only scheduled ESPN game of the season.

A good Sooner would never wave an orange towel.

The whole thing is to hype the debut of Kevin Durant's new orange shoes, which his teammates were wearing, too.

It's regrettable, to some folks in these parts, that the color had to be an identical orange to Oklahoma State's Cowboys.
